President-elect Donald Trump ridiculed the criticism he is not taking intelligence briefings every day, telling "Fox News Sunday"  host Chris Wallace he only takes an update when there is something to update.

"I get it when I need it," Trump told Wallace. "If something should change from this point, immediately call me. I'm available on one-minute's notice."

Trump suggested the repetitive briefings are a waste of presidential time amid his transition. He added his generals and Vice President-elect Mike Pence are being briefed, too.

"You know — I’m like a smart person — I don’t have to be told the same thing in the same words every single day for the next eight years," Trump added.

". . . I don’t need that. But I do say if something should change, let us know. . . . 'Sir, nothing has changed.' Same words. I don't need that."

Mediaite posted the video of "Fox News Sunday."
