President Donald Trump on Monday night weighed in on the controversy over claims members of his transition team talked to Russian officials.

Trump's tweets refer to claims that Hillary Clinton, as secretary of state, helped approved the Russian government's purchase of an American company's uranium extraction capabilities. Clinton has denied any involvement.

The tweets come as Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes has come under attack by Democrats demanding he step down from a bipartisan probe into attempts by the Russian government to affect the 2016 presidential elections. Nunes briefed Trump on information he received about the reported unmasking of Trump transition officials before telling Democrats on the committee.

The Russian probe was not the only thing on Trump's mind Monday night. He also slammed members of the conservative House Freedom Caucus for killing the GOP bill to replace Obamacare. And he vowed to work with Democrats to get something passed.
