President Donald Trump is calling for an end to "costly & time-consuming investigations" and for Republicans and Democrats to join together for the good of Americans.
"OK, so after two years of hard work and each party trying their best to make the other party look as bad as possible, it’s time to get back to business," he tweeted in the first of two late-night tweets Thursday.
"The Mueller Report strongly stated that there was No Collusion with Russia (of course) and, in fact, they were rebuffed at every turn in attempts to gain access. But now Republicans and Democrats must come together for the good of the American people. No more costly & time-consuming investigations. Let's do Immigration (Border), Infrastructure, much lower drug prices & much more - and do it now!"
His tweets followed an interview with Fox News, during which he commented that "it's done" when it comes to further investigations of his presidency and campaign, and said he doesn't believe he'll allow former White House counsel Don McGahn to testify to committees in Congress.
