President Donald Trump on Friday said ISIS "will pay a big price for every attack" on the United States, including the one perpetrated by "their soldier" earlier this week who killed 8 in New York City.
Trump continues to tweet about the guilt of the alleged attacker Sayfullo Saipov — including saying that he should get the death penalty — despite potentially causing undue problems for prosecutors if the president's words jeopardize due process of the accused.
Trump was asked about it as he departed for an 11-day Asia trip Friday morning. He told reporters that any time the U.S. can confirm an ISIS attack, "we are hitting them ten times harder."
