President Donald Trump reacted to Matt Lauer's firing for sexual harassment by also calling for executives at NBC to be fired "for putting out so much fake news."
"Today" show hosts made the announcement that Lauer had been terminated after the network received one detailed complaint from a colleague about "inappropriate sexual behavior."
In a statement, NBC News chairman Andrew Lack said that while this was the only complaint against Lauer so far, "we were also presented with reason to believe this may not have been an isolated incident."
As for Lauer's past, he has won 10 Emmys and two Peabody's in a career that started at CBS in the 1970s with later stops at Bloomberg and Sony Music.
