Donald Trump leads Hillary Clinton by three points in the
latest Fox News poll released Wednesday.
Trump's lead is the exact same as the poll's margin of error, but represents the first time Trump has led Clinton, Fox News reported.
In the poll, Trump has 45 percent of registered voters support to Clinton's 42 percent.
Trump, the presumptive Republican nominee, leads Clinton, the Democratic front-runner, with white voters 55 percent to 31 percent. Among whites without a college degree, Trump leads 61 percent-24 percent,
The Hill notes.
Clinton leads with black voters, who back her 90 percent to 7 percent over Trump, and with Hispanics, who favor her 62 percent to 23 percent.
She also leads with women, 50 percent of whom back her, compared to 36 percent for Trump.
Trump also trails Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders in a hypothetical matchup. Sanders has 46 percent to Trump's 42 percent, but Trump is gaining on Sanders in the same poll.
The poll talked to 1,021 registered voters May 14-17, and has a margin of error of plus-or-minus 3 percentage points.
