President Donald Trump shot down a reporter who asked about his lawyer Michael Cohen Tuesday, calling the inquiry a "stupid question."
ABC News White House correspondent Jonathan Karl shouted a question to Trump during a brief press availability in the Oval Office with French President Emmanuel Macron.
"What about Michael Cohen? Are you considering pardoning Michael Cohen?" Karl asked. FBI agents raided two offices, an apartment, and a hotel room tied to Cohen two weeks ago as an extension of the Russia investigation.
Trump glared at Karl, pointed his finger, and said "stupid" as he shook his head. Seconds later, he again looked in Karl's direction and said, "stupid question."
Cohen is reportedly under investigation for fraud and other offenses stemming from payouts he made to women who claimed to have had affairs with Trump before the 2016 presidential election.
