Donald Trump accused Republican rival Marco Rubio Saturday of trying to control the early voting in Florida leading up to the Sunshine State's primary on Tuesday.
The front-runner said on Twitter:
The Florida senator's campaign has held a number of events to encourage residents to vote early — including speeches by Rubio at various events, as well as efforts on social media and calls by volunteers.
One effort includes a "vote early day pledge," according to a release email Saturday by the campaign.
"Supporters are encouraged to take the 'vote early day pledge' to commit to vote early, spread awareness, and invite three friends to vote early," the release says.
Here is a Rubio campaign tweet from Saturday:
Florida has an eight-day period for early voting that began last Saturday.
