Trump Turns Sessions' Words Against Him in New Blast

President Donald Trump continued his public battle with Jeff Sessions Friday, calling on the attorney general to look into “corruption” by others including “lies” by former FBI Director James Comey, “conflicts” by special counsel Robert Mueller and “Russian collusion” by Democrats.

Trump’s comments came after Sessions hit back at him Thursday for criticizing him.

Trump renewed his ongoing feud with Sessions in an interview with "Fox and Friends" that aired Thursday, accusing Sessions of failing to take control of the Justice Department.

Sessions maintained he took control the day he was sworn in as attorney general and maintained the Justice Department “will not be improperly influenced by political considerations.”

But in a pair of Friday morning tweets, Trump threw Sessions’ words right back at him:

Trump's first tweet said:

"'Department of Justice will not be improperly influenced by political considerations.' Jeff, this is GREAT, what everyone wants, so look into all of the corruption on the “other side” including deleted Emails, Comey lies & leaks, Mueller conflicts, McCabe, Strzok, Page, Ohr......"

He continued in a second tweet:

"....FISA abuse, Christopher Steele & his phony and corrupt Dossier, the Clinton Foundation, illegal surveillance of Trump Campaign, Russian collusion by Dems - and so much more. Open up the papers & documents without redaction? Come on Jeff, you can do it, the country is waiting!'

Along with Comey and Mueller, Trump referred to former deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe, fired FBI agent Peter Strzok, one-time FBI lawyer Lisa Page and Justice Department official Bruce Ohr.

Trump added to his attack less than an hour later, claiming a "double standard" by Sessions' Justice Department

"Ex-NSA contractor to spend 63 months in jail over 'classified' information. Gee, this is 'small potatoes' compared to what Hillary Clinton did! So unfair Jeff, Double Standard," the Twitter post said.
