Donald Trump Thursday lauded a report by Breitbart News ripping CNN for giving a "demonstrably false presentation" in fact-checking "factually correct statements" the presumptive nominee made in his speech Wednesday attacking Hillary Clinton on immigration.

CNN "Legal View" correspondent Tom Foreman made the assertions in trying to rebut Trump's claims in the speech in at Trump SoHo in New York City, according to Breitbart.

"The reality-check team was very busy during all of this [speech]," Foreman said in a transcript of the report published by Breitbart. "Trump attacked Clinton's plan to increase the number of Syrian refugees taken into America."

Here is the Trump statement that was the subject of Foreman's report:

"Under [Clinton's] plan, we would admit hundreds of thousands of refugees from the most dangerous countries on Earth — with no way to screen who they are, what they are, what they believe, where they come from."

Foreman's fact-check was made in context of the Syrian refugee program in the United States, Breitbart said.

"President Obama has said he'd like to get 10,000 Syrian refugees in here by the end of September this year," Foreman said. "Yes, Hillary Clinton has talked about increasing that substantially to 65,000 people being brought in in the near term.

"That said, if you look at his overall claim — hundreds of thousands, no checking whatsoever — that is simply false," Foreman said.

However, Breitbart noted that Trump said that the refugees would come to the United States "from the most dangerous countries on Earth" — not just Syria.

The report also slammed Foreman's fact-check within the context of Clinton's four years in the White House — and based it on current figures from the Department of Homeland Security.

Within that framework, Breitbart found that Clinton could admit as many as 1.9 million refugees during her first term.

"Contrary to CNN’s 'fact check,' Trump is correct," the report said.

In response to the Breitbart report, Trump posted this tweet:
