President Donald Trump is plugging a Quinnipiac University poll showing 66 percent of Americans say the economy is excellent or good.
The poll noted it is the highest positive rating for the economy since Quinnipiac first started asking people to rate the issue in 2001. The survey also showed that 33 percent said the economy is "not so good" or "poor."
Trump made his comments in a Thursday morning tweet.
The poll, conducted Jan. 5-9, surveyed 1,106 voters. It has a margin of error of 3.6 percentage points.
