President Donald Trump noted the first anniversary of special counsel Robert Mueller's Russia probe in a Twitter post Thursday, calling it "the greatest Witch Hunt in American history."
The 12 months of investigation into possible coordination between Russia and Trump's 2016 presidential campaig has yielded a flurry of criminal indictments and guilty pleas, tense court appearances, angry tweets from the president, and speculation over what Mueller already knows and what he'll investigate next.
Trump uses the term "witch hunt" repeatedly to dismiss the probe.
Trump followed up with a second post, noting that if reports that the FBI spied on his campaign with an embedded informant, "this is bigger than Watergate!"
