Democratic Rep. Tulsi Gabbard is meeting with Donald Trump and his transition team about a job within the president-elect's administration, CNN reported Monday.
The Hawaii lawmaker is being considered for a post within the Defense Department, State Department or United Nations, CNN reported.
Gabbard was a staunch supporter of Bernie Sanders and resigned her post as vice-chair of the Democratic National Committee in February to support him during the primary against Hillary Clinton.
Trump has said that no Democrat would serve in his administration, but Gabbard has been described as Trump's "kind of Democrat," according to The Daily Beast.
