Twitter quickly erupted Wednesday with comments from across the spectrum after President Donald Trump again attacked the Russia investigation, demanding for the first time that Attorney General Jeff Sessions "stop this rigged witch hunt right now."
"This is an attempt to obstruct justice hiding in plain sight," Democratic House Intelligence Committee Vice Chairman Adam Schiff of California said. "America must never accept it."
Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer of New York, the chamber's top Democrat posted: "Remember Mr. President, getting to the truth is critical for our security and democracy."

In subsequent tweets Wednesday, Trump cited comments from Harvard Law School professor emeritus Alan Dershowitz on the Fox Business Network.
Dershowitz attacked former FBI agent Peter Strzok's involvement in the Russia probe, saying that Mueller was "creating an illusion of objectivity."
Trump also questioned why Mueller's prosecutors did not inform him that Manafort was under investigation before returning to more attacks on the inquiry.
Still, Twitter reaction to Trump's storm was swift, strong and wide:
