Voters think President Donald Trump's best attribute is what's he's doing with the economy, with just a 45 percent approval rate, according to the latest Gallup poll.
Though 51 percent disapprove of his handling of the economy, all of his other approval markers are in the 30s, according to Gallup.
Overall, Trump's job approval is at 39 percent.
Other results, according to Gallup's survey:
- 37 percent approve of Trump's handling of tax reform; 55 percent disapprove
- 35 percent approve of his handling of North Korea, down 10 points since September
- 33 percent approve of Trump's foreign policy, down 8 points since September
- 31 percent approve of Trump's handling of healthcare; 64 percent disapprove
However, Republicans overwhelmingly favor the president in every category, according to Gallup:
- 89 percent approve of his handling of the economy
- 82 percent approve of Trump's work on tax reform
- 75 percent approve of his handling of North Korea
- 72 percent approve of his foreign policy
- 70 percent approve of his healthcare policies
Trump scores best with Independents on the economy (40 percent) and worst on healthcare (24 percent), according to Gallup.
Gallup's results are based on telephone interviews conducted Nov. 2-8, with a random sample of 1,028 adults, aged 18 and older, living in all 50 U.S. states and the District of Columbia. The margin of sampling error is 4 percentage points.
