An actor famous for a role he played in "Seinfeld" said in a new interview Hollywood is a "toxic" place for conservatives like himself.

"It's a very lonely existence out there because you really can't have a conversation with anyone," John O'Hurley told Fox Business Network's Stuart Varney.

"And there is an assumption on their part — and I say their, the liberal Hollywood — that you are as disgusted as they are with the current regime. So I have to sit there and listen to this and watch this roll of the eyes … It's a toxic environment."

O'Hurley has been a vocal supporter of President Donald Trump and his administration, saying in April he believed in him and what he is trying to accomplish from the Oval Office. O'Hurley also backed Vice President Mike Pence's decision in October to leave an NFL game after players took a knee during the national anthem.

O'Hurley told Varney liberals in Hollywood lash out at people who disagree with them.

"They react viscerally to the fact that you don't agree with them because when we actually voice an opposite opinion," he said. "And I tend to find that conservatives are, by their nature, individuals, so it's tough for us to find a group of other people. But we do it. So you end up working as an individual and you do your thing and as they say, the alchemy of kindness is wasted on toxic people."

O'Hurley played the role of Elaine Benes' boss J. Peterman on "Seinfeld" for four seasons.
