Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., would back former Sen. Scott Brown, R-Mass., for a spot in Donald Trump's cabinet, she revealed Thursday.

"If Scott Brown is the nominee for Veterans Affairs, I have no doubt that he would put his heart and soul into trying to help veterans," Warren told Boston Public Radio.

"And I would put my heart and soul into trying to help him do that. You bet I'd support that."

Brown represented Massachusetts in the Senate from 2010-2013. Warren defeated him in the 2012 election. Brown ran for a Senate seat in New Hampshire in the 2014 midterm election, but he lost to incumbent and Democrat Jeanne Shaheen.

Trump, who won the Nov. 8 presidential election, is considering nominating Brown to head the troubled Department of Veterans Affairs in his administration.

Warren also talked about former Gov. Mitt Romney, R-Mass., one of the finalists to be Trump's secretary of state.

"I'd like to hear more, but I think Mitt Romney is a smart man, and I think he's got a pretty level-headed view of the world," Warren said. "Can I just hold until we . . . until I get a chance to see and meet the nominees?"

Warren is no fan of Trump and has criticized him many times in recent months.
