Voters are nervous about the outcome of this November's election — with a majority "uneasy" about the prospect of Donald Trump moving into the White House, a new poll shows.
The
USA Today/Suffolk University poll, released Monday, asks voters how they would feel with the election of either Hillary Clinton as the first female president, or Trump as the first commander in chief who has neither electoral or military experience.
The results break down this way:
With Trump as president.
- Uneasy: 57 percent
- Excited: 15 percent
- No difference: 24 percent
With Clinton as president:
- Uneasy: 34 percent
- Excited: 29 percent
- No difference: 33 percent
The poll's margin of error is plus or minus 3 percentage points.
