Democratic National Committee Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz tailored her Mother's Day message to blast Donald Trump, calling the presumptive Republican nominee a "misogynist of the worst order."
Mocking Trump for using holidays to pander to people, she listed in a post on
Medium the reasons why women should be extremely distrustful of him, claiming that this is why 70 percent of American women refuse to support him.
Wasserman Schultz wrote how Trump has described women he does not like: "A lawyer taking time to pump breast milk was 'disgusting,' New York Times columnist Gail Collins has the 'face of a dog,' Rosie O’Donnell is a 'fat pig,” and debate moderator Megyn Kelly 'had blood coming out of her… wherever' when she tried to question Trump."
She also criticized Trump's economic policies concerning women, saying that when asked about the issue of equal pay his condescending response was that if women "do as good a job" as men, they'll get paid the same.
Wasserman Schultz also cited a quote illustrating Trump's wariness on hiring women. "She’s not giving me 100%. She’s giving me 84%, and 16% is going towards taking care of children.”
