Republican Rep. Shelley Moore Capito is 14 points ahead of Democratic challenger Natalie Tennant in November's West Virginia Senate race, according to the latest
Rasmussen Reports poll.
The new statewide survey found that 49 percent of likely West Virginia voters support Capito, compared to 35 percent who back Tennant.
The poll also showed that 4 percent prefer another candidate, while 12 percent are undecided at this stage.
The telephone poll of 500 likely voters in West Virginia was conducted Feb. 19-20 and had a margin of error of plus or minus 4.5 percentage points.
