Does Dr. Fauci's Knee–Jerkism Risk Patellar Tendonitis?

We recently came this close to revising our opinion on Dr. Fauci.

In an interview with NBC’s hand–wringing Chuck Todd, the gain–of–function funding expert said, “There comes a time when you're dealing with a public health crisis, that could involve you, your family, and everyone else that something supersedes that need to do exactly what you want to do.”

We were on the edge of our seats.

Was Fauci actually going to admonish Obama and his super–spreader birthday bash?

Was the virus finally a threat to leftists as well as conservatives?

You can imagine our disappointment when we realized Dr. Frankenstein — er, Fauci — was talking about middle Americans in middle America.

He was coming down on the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally, which is held in Sturgis, South Dakota and not Martha’s Vineyard. “I'm very concerned, Chuck, that we're going to see another surge related to that rally.”

Dr. Faustus — sorry, Fauci — didn’t say word one about Obama’s celebration of his wonderfulness or the Leftapalooza music festival in Chicago last week.

Like the Angel of Death over the Israelites, the virus and Fauci just passed over the trendy.

And now you know why when Tucker Carlson called Fauci a “malignant buffoon” we wondered why Tucker was going so easy on him.

Sen. Rand Paul (R–KY) has had it with Fauci and his politically–determined ‘science.’

Paul, who just so happens to be a doctor himself, told Fox News’ Brian Kilmeade, “Dr. Fauci needs to be away from government, away from advice, because almost all of his advice had been wrongheaded."

"But some of it's actually very dangerous," he added.

Paul’s comment came in reference to a discussion of adding the unvaccinated to the mysterious, opaque and unaccountable ‘no–fly’ list.

This totally–not–totalitarian suggestion from Fauci came as part of a discussion of making life harder for the unvaccinated.

Paul didn’t hold back, “So it makes no sense, it's complete collectivism. And all of these people are the same people who hooted and hollered and said Trump is leading us to authoritarianism. What could be more authoritarian than a no–fly list for people who disagree with you?”

Exactly.

Besides if the elite want to avoid rubbing shoulders with the unvaccinated on airplanes, they can accomplish most of that goal by avoiding Spirit Airlines.

In truth, Fauci is now a parody of a ‘public health expert.’

You can predict what he’s going to do before he does it.

Are conservatives going to gather outdoors? Fauci says dangerous super–spreader.

Are leftists and assorted elites going to gather and get down? Fauci maintains radio silence.

Is Pandemic Panic beginning to dissipate and life returning to normal?

Fauci says watch out for the latest variant and blames increases in ‘cases’ not on a seasonal virus but on unfashionable people.

Fauci is long past his sell–by date.

He needs to take time off and have that knee–jerking knee looked at. Tendonitis can be painful.
