A 14-year-old Oklahoma City girl says it was God who helped her find the 3.85-carat diamond she stumbled across over the weekend at Arkansas' Crater of Diamonds State Park.
After hearing about a young boy who found a 5-carat diamond at the public prospecting site in July, Tana Clymer wanted to try her luck, so the teen and her family took a trip to the park, which sits in an ancient volcanic crater, on Saturday.
But after about two hours of digging and sifting, the Clymers hadn't found anything.

That's when something caught Tana Clymer's eye.
"I thought it was a piece of paper or foil from a candy wrapper," she told News9.com. "Then, when I touched it, I thought it was a marble. I think God pointed me to it. I was about to sprint to join my family, and God told me to slow down and look. Then, I found the diamond."
It turns out Clymer had discovered a 3.85-carat, teardrop-shaped canary diamond. She named it "God's Jewel."
"This canary diamond is very similar to the gem-quality, 4.21-carat canary diamond found at the Crater of Diamonds by Oklahoma State Trooper Marvin Culver of Nowata, Oklahoma, on March 12, 2006 — a gem he named the Okie Dokie Diamond," Bill Henderson, assistant park superintendent, said in a statement.
Thanks to the park's "finders keepers" policy, the rock is Clymer's to keep.
"Tana told me that she was so excited, she couldn't sleep last night," Henderson said. "She's either going to keep the diamond for a ring, or, if it's worth a lot, she'll want that for college."
According to ABC News, "God's Jewel" is the 396th diamond found so far this year in the park. More than 75,000 diamonds have been unearthed at the site since 1906.
