Adam Levine, front man of Maroon 5, was grabbed on stage by a hugging fan in the middle of a performance Monday night at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California, but the 36-year-old remained calm and held the girl until security arrived.
Levine looked startled and initially pulled away from the young fan who appeared to be all smiles at her successful attempt to make it on stage during the concert, putting her arms around the star's neck. Once Levine regained his composure, he put his arm around her and a security officer
arrived within seconds to take her away, E! Online reported.
"It's just weird to be, like, in the moment, ya know? And your singing, and your eyes are closed, and you have this beautiful moment," Levine, who is also a celebrity coach on NBC's
"The Voice," reportedly told the crowd, according to Entertainment Tonight. "And then the next thing you know someone's f***ing in your face. It's super terrifying."
Some concert-goers immediately reported the incident on Twitter.
Others on social media chimed in with their opinion.
