He can croon and he’s hunky, too. Small wonder Adam Levine has been crowned People’s "Sexiest Man Alive."
The news was revealed Tuesday in front of a live audience for an episode of “The Voice.”

“Thank you,” a blushing
Levine said after Carson Daly announced the news, the New York Daily News reported. "I feel sexy!"
The Maroon 5 lead and “Voice” coach with the killer abs and bad-boy tattoos joins an exclusive club that includes such eye-candy as Brad Bitt, Channing Tatum, and Richard Gere.
Levine told People the honor is all his.
"As a musician, you have fantasies that you want to win Grammys, but I didn't really think that this was on the table," said Levine, 34. “I was just amazed and stunned and it almost seemed like they were kidding, but they weren't, so that's cool."
Levine is so comfortable in his trim and fit skin that he even admitted during the interview to crying at such films as "E.T."
But the rock-star told People he is taking his new recognition in stride.
“It’s hard to talk about it because you feel like you owe it to be kind of self-deprecating about it because it is an iconic thing, but also silly," he said. "I’m not going to comment on anything other than it’s really flattering and I feel lucky."
While he might be the "Sexiest Man Alive," Levine is off the dating market and engaged to Behati Prinsloo, a Victoria's Secret model.
"I didn't think marriage was for me for a long time," Levine told People. "I was ready when I was ready. That's about as simple as it could possibly be."
Prinsloo’s reaction to her fiance’s new title?
She laughed.
“She’s keeping me humble,” Levine told People.
Some Twitter posters criticized Levine’s selection.
Other posters applauded Levine’s recognition.
Commenters on the People article also had a mixed reaction.
“I don't think this skinny man with the high-pitched voice is even attractive!” wrote one poster. “This is a sad day if this is our "sexiest man."
Wrote another: “Adam is VERY sexy! Even sexier when he shaves.”
