At least 16 people were injured Friday morning when an airport shuttle crashed into the side of a tractor-trailer at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport in Atlanta.
The shuttle bus, which is operated by MTI Limos and serves the nearby Hampton Inn, Fairfield Inn, and Hilton hotels, reportedly skidded more than 90 feet before slamming into the left side of the 18-wheeler, which was making a U-turn. The shuttle was on its way to the airport at the time of the collision.

Initial reports differed on the number of people injured. Atlanta Fire Rescue Department spokeswoman Janet Ward told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution that
18 people were on the bus. According to her report, nine were being transported to Grady Memorial Hospital and nine were being taken to Atlanta Medical Center.
But College Park police said 16 people were on the bus at the time of the crash, including the driver, who suffered the most serious injuries. The driver of the truck was uninjured.
Grady Memorial Hospital told the Journal-Constitution just before noon Friday that 10 patients had been transported there, and that two were considered to be in critical condition.
