The 20-year-old daughter of country legend Alan Jackson is being charged with assault, underage drinking, and resisting arrest, stemming from a Wednesday morning car stop.
Alexandra Jane Jackson was a passenger in a car that was pulled over by police for tailgating and speeding in Nashville. Jackson angrily got out of the car, and began making demands, according to an affidavit.
She is accused of then hitting an officer in the chest, and trying to run to the car to avoid being arrested.

She resisted again when police went to place her in handcuffs, though she told police she had been drinking. Before being booked at the jail, she reportedly
told the officer that her dad "would do anything I wanted him to do," Billboard reported.
WSMV-TV said that she was released later Wednesday morning. She has a court date of Sept. 23.
A spokeswoman for Alan Jackson had no comment.
Alexandra isn't the only Jackson daughter to find trouble with police. Her older sister, Mattie Denise Jackson, was arrested Aug. 19, 2012, for DUI, and later convicted of misdemeanor reckless driving.
Alan Jackson performed an all-acoustic concert Tuesday night at Nashville's Station Inn, and is currently on tour.
The country music icon has recorded 14 studio albums, and has earned two Grammy Awards and 16 Country Music Awards.
He has sold more than 60 million records worldwide, as of 2012.
