Canadian actress Alberta Watson, who appeared in the shows "24" and "Nikita," died Saturday at age 60 after a battle against cancer.

Watson died in Toronto with her husband by her side, the Gary Goddard Agency, which represented her, said in a statement.

Watson appeared in the fourth season on the Fox series "24" as CTU director Erin Driscoll, who had to fire Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland) for his past heroin addiction. She also had recurring roles in TV series "The Border" and "Angela's Eyes."

While she starred on the Canadian series "La Femme Nikita" as Madeline Pierce, Watson was diagnosed in 1998 with lymphoma, ET Canada reported.
