"Almost Human," the Fox science fiction drama series that premiered Nov. 17, will likely be canceled due to lukewarm ratings, according to television observers.
Though Fox has yet to confirm the cancellation of "Almost Human," the network's hesitance in announcing its renewal after the season ended Monday night is perceived as a signal that the end might be near,

"No news is bad news," TVbytheNumbers said. "Is it conceivable the show still gets renewed? Yes. Is it likely? No."
"Almost Human" is set in year 2048 and revolves around the relationship between human cops and their android partners. The sci-fi series stars Karl Urban, who appeared in "The Bourne Supremacy" and "Star Trek Into Darkness," and Michael Ealy, of "Seven Pounds" and "Underworld: Awakening" fame.
According to ScreenRant.com's Michael Kennedy, "Almost Human" has averaged a 1.9 demo with just over six million total viewers to date. "Almost Human" is similar to Fox's other series, "The Following," but lacks star power; the latter stars Kevin Bacon, James Purefoy and others.
"In the end, there is really no obvious reason why FOX would renew one show and not the other, outside of pure star power," Kennedy wrote. "That said, it’s definitely not a good sign that 'Almost Human' ended its season on Monday, only for FOX to remain tight-lipped about its future."
While the future of "Almost Human" remains uncertain, Fox recently announced the cancellation of the television comedy "Raising Hope" and the music competition show "The X Factor." The network confirmed the "Family Guy" spinoff "American Dad" will be entering its 10th and final season.
Aside from Fox, several other networks parted ways with TV series at the start of 2014. ABC cancelled "Killer Women," "Lucky 7," and "The Assets," which aired just two episodes,
TVGuide.com reported.
CBS' "How I Met Your Mother" and "We Are Men" were also cancelled in 2014, as well as NBC's "Ironside," "Welcome to the Family," "Sean Saves the World," and "The Michael J. Fox Show," TVGuide.com noted.
