Former Nickelodeon star Amanda Bynes is continuing on her road to recovery and she was seen working out in Los Angeles last week after her parents dropped her off at the gym.

The paparazzi spotted Bynes, 27, wearing a white T-shirt and black tennis shoes going into the gym on Jan. 23, according to E! News. Shortly after being dropped off, she walked to a local gas station convenience store where she purchased Zig Zag rolling papers.

The next day, Bynes was reportedly dropped off at the gym by her mother Lynn, where she was spotted working out on an elliptical machine after walking to the same convenience store, wearing a blonde wig and large sunglasses.

In December, Bynes took part in an inpatient mental health treatment program in California. Shortly after New Year's Day, People reported that she participated in a weeklong program at the Miracles Utah Fitness Retreat.

The program included workouts for six hours each day and nutritious meals.

"She was interested in getting healthier … to get in better shape, to lose about five pounds, but mainly to strengthen up and eat healthier," Austan Torson, the owner and personal trainer at Miracles Fitness Retreat told E! News. "I think it was a really good experience for her. She participated in everything we did. She was always up in the morning even though she was tired."

Last July Bynes was hospitalized on an involuntary psychiatric hold after she allegedly attempted to set a fire near a home in Thousand Oaks, Calif.

"When we receive a call on something like this and someone is behaving unusually in front of a deputy trained to evaluate the possibility of needing a mental health evaluation, we can bring them to a mental health facility for up to 72 hours," Ventura County Sheriff's Capt. Don Aguilar said at the time.

Bynes starred in the Nickelodeon series "All That" from 1996 to 2002 and the spinoff "The Amanda Show" from 1999 to 2002, along with the 2006 movie "She's the Man."
