Seth Meyers delivered his last Weekend Update for "SNL" Saturday, and former anchor Amy Poehler and other friends were there to wish him well as he journeys into “Late Night with Seth Meyers.”
Poehler, who stars on “Parks and Rec” as the perky Leslie Knope, teamed up with Andy Samberg and Bill Hader — or rather his beloved character Stefon — to send Meyers out the door.

When Poehler and Stefon appeared, Meyers asked, “What are you guys doing here?” and Poehler responded, “We’re here to take you to the other side. We’re so proud of you. You have been the heart of this show for over a decade.”
Stefon, a Weekend Update regular before Hader left the show, "married" Meyers in Hader's last episode. In his reappearance, he got a bit jealous when current Update anchor Cecily Strong told Meyers, “We’re going to miss you so much,” responding with a harsh, “You barely know him!”
Poehler and Stefon educated Meyers on what awaited him in the real world, outside of "SNL," including Stefon’s reference to the human DVR, which is a “thing where a midget sits on your TV and tells you what happened on 'Scandal.'”
Samberg jumped in, warbling tremendously off-key, “It’s so hard to say goodbye to yesterday.”
Meyers wound down his final Weekend Update with a heartfelt thank-you.
“This is the job I always wanted and I had the best time and I met the best people, and I just want to thank the crew and the cast and especially the writers and Lorne (Michaels),” Meyers said.
Meyers is taking over for Jimmy Fallon on “Late Night” and Poehler will reportedly be his first guest. Fallon is moving to Jay Leno’s spot on “The Tonight Show.”
