Brazilian model Andressa Urach, who last year claimed she slept with Portugal soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo, was removed from the team's World Cup training field Wednesday after she appeared at the facility with media credentials.
The potential distraction for the Ronaldo, considered one of the world's best soccer players, came as Portugal prepared for a huge match in pool play against the upstart United States team on Sunday,
according to the New York Post.
Urach showed up at Portugal's training facility with press credentials as a host on the "Muito Show," but that mattered little to team officials to usher her off the premises.

"I came to give good luck to C7 (Ronaldo) and was removed from the pitch and they took away my press credentials," Urach wrote in her native language on her Twitter account. "Where is the freedom of expression? I went to do a story for the #muitoshow."
Urach's presence anywhere near Ronaldo will certainly annoy not only the soccer star but Portugal fans. In was last April that she claimed to have slept with the star 48 hours before Ronaldo's Real Madrid suffered a humbling 4-1 loss to Germany's Borussia Dortmund in the Champion League's 2013 semifinals,
according to London's Daily Mail.
Ronaldo has been dating Russian Irina Shayk, one of the world's top swimsuit and lingerie models, for more than four years, noted the Post. The star strongly denied the affair last year.
"I was informed that The Sun, faithful to its editorial line, will publish an article where is given voice to a so called Andressa – someone seeking the limelight on my account," Ronaldo said about article alleging the rendezvous, reported the Daily Mail.
"And I wonder why this happens one day before a very important game for my team. Deeply outraged by a situation intended, in vain, to affect my personal life. I just want to clarify I was in fact at the Hotel Villa Magna on April 22 giving an interview to Manu Sainz, something the reporter himself is able to corroborate. Everything else is pure fiction and forgery," Ronaldo continued.
