Protests sparked by the killing of George Floyd have swept the nation. Thousands of people have been gathering to show solidarity for organizations like Black Lives Matter, among them dozens of celebrities who have been documenting events via social media. Ariana Grande, John Cusack and Halsey were among these public figures who have joined the masses on the streets.

John Cusack was attending the Chicago protest on Saturday when cops reportedly rushed after him with batons.
"Cops didn’t like me filming the burning car so they came at me with batons. Hitting my bike," the actor wrote in a tweet he shared along with shaky video footage of the incident.

Grande joined the Los Angeles Black Lives Matter protest on Saturday. Taking to Twitter, the pop icon shared images from the event and expressed disappointment at the media's lack of coverage.
"Hours and miles of peaceful protesting yesterday that got little to no coverage," she wrote. "All throughout beverly hills and west hollywood we chanted, people beeped and cheered along. We were passionate, we were loud, we were loving. Cover this too please."

"The Masked Singer" host documented the Minneapolis protest he attended through a series of photos shared to Instagram.
"You may have took my last breath. But you’ll never colonize my Spirit, Standing there watching while I die .... I can’t breathe and you still can’t hear it," Cannon captioned one video, in which he and a group of people are seen wearing T-shirts with the statement "I can't breathe" emblazoned on the front.

Singer Kehlani shared numerous photos and videos of the Los Angeles protest, which she joined in on.
"LIVE. NO JUSTICE, NO PEACE. LOS ANGELES MAY 30TH 2020. RESPECT EXISTENCE OR EXPECT RESISTANCE," she captioned a post to Instagram. "#BLACKLIVESMATTER OUTSIDE INSIDE TODAY YESTERDAY TOMORROW AND FOREVER. POWER TO THE PEOPLE."

Halsey was also among celebrities attending the LA protest. The "Bad at Love" hitmaker described in a tweet how cops fired rubber bullets into the crowd.
"We did not breach the line. Hands were up. Unmoving. And they gassed and fired," she posted along with photos of the protest action.
In a separate post, the singer told followers that she had not been arrested but noted that many others had been. She called for the public to donate to organizations supporting the bail of protesters.
"Im safe. There were ppl I had to get to safety as many of them have VISAs. Myself + many of my peers were shot, gassed + antagonized," she wrore. "The frontline was calm + did not provoke. BUT MANY ARE NOT SAFE + MANY ARE IN CUSTODY. DONATE TO BAIL ORGS!!! I AM CURRENTLY."

Kendrick Sampson, who starred in "Insecure," shared a video of the protest in LA on Saturday, which he said was turning violent quickly.
"Video of it going 0-100," he captioned the footage on Twitter. "Peaceful to violent. The violence comes entirely from LAPD. You can hear the commander yell “MOVE!” - cop talk for “F**K EM UP!” - at the end watch THREE COPS coming at me as I defend someone on the ground they were beating!!!"
