Jelly Belly has already dipped its foot into the alcoholic beverage flavor market with its strawberry daiquiri, pina colada, and mai tai candies, and now the company has debuted the first-ever beer-flavored bean.

With a taste modeled after a Hefeweizen ale, Jelly Belly's Draft Beer jelly bean is an "effervescent and crisp flavor is packed in a golden jelly bean with an iridescent finish. Beer connoisseurs will find the flavor profile to be clean with notes of wheat and a touch of sweetness. The aroma is mildly bready," the company said in a statement.

The new flavor was introduced over the weekend at the Winter Fancy Food Show in San Francisco.

"Our fans have been asking for a beer Jelly Bean for years," Rob Swaigen, Jelly Belly’s vice president of marketing, told Today.com. "It took a few years to perfect, but we think we got it right."

Much to some fans' disappointment, the Draft Beer Jelly Belly is non-alcoholic.

Still, the new flavor announcement drew excitement from others.
