A new picture of Ben Affleck in his Batman suit was unveiled Thursday at Comic-Con in San Diego, showing a close-up of the new Batman's face and cowl, and "Batman v Superman" director Zack Snyder tweeted it.

In fact, Affleck's cowl and the cape attached to it were displayed on the floor at the annual comics convention.
The ears on this Batsuit are shorter than most Batman interpretations, and it appears a permanent scowl is molded into the headpiece.
The reveal of the suit and the photo coincided this week with the 75th anniversary of Batman, and Wednesday was known as Batman Day.
Batman fans seemed to think Affleck's chin and jawline will play the part well.
"I don't see how anyone could argue against the guy having the right chin for it," o
ne commenter wrote on SuperHeroHype.com. "I love the look of the cowl and the costume design. It's very reminiscent to me of The Dark Knight Returns, Batman: Year One, The New 52 Comics and the Arkham Batman Games and Comics. ... I think that judging from what I have seen, Affleck's Batman costume looks like it could be the best live-action Batman costume yet, and I like that the black and grey look differentiates it from what has come before."
"Seriously Ben affleck is starting to convince me even more that he is in fact The Dark Knight," another wrote.
That's saying a lot, considering the
backlash when Affleck's casting was announced last year.
