Bette Midler dished on her "Hocus Pocus" memories, the possibility of a new album, and her feelings on the sex-crazed new generation of pop stars like Miley Cyrus and Lady Gaga Thursday on Katie Couric's daytime show "Katie."

The 67-year-old's Halloween classic, "Hocus Pocus," may have come out 20 years ago, but Midler said it's still one of her favorites.

"We laughed the whole time," she told Couric of her co-stars Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy, "and we flew! We flew! And we got to wear like crazy noses and fake teeth and all those sorts of things.

"I love it. We made it before the tidal wave of Halloween happened. Now it's like huge. It's huge — kids, grown-ups, everyone takes part in it. This movie was kind of like the beginning of the wave."

Couric then asked Midler how she feels about modern-day artists and their racy performances.

"I think you can be as creative as you want to be, you can roll out old ideas and give them a new coat of paint," Midler said. "But the idea of whipping out the girls, I don't know, there's a grossness to it that is not flattering... to the women themselves."

Midler, a three-time Grammy winner who's produced nearly 15 albums, also said she's debating on whether to put out a new record.

"I love harmony singing and I've been toying with the idea of doing an album of just harmonies — girl groups from the '30s to about the '80s, something like that. You know, all-girl groups," she said. "There are so many fantastic girl groups and I'm sort of going though that music now."
