It looks like Bill Cosby is returning to television with a new show on NBC.
The popular 76-year-old comedian has made a deal with the network to develop a half-hour comedy featuring
Cosby as the patriarch of a multigenerational family, Deadline first reported. It will largely be based on his views of marriage and parenting.

Variety confirmed with NBC that Cosby signed the deal.
Cosby ruled the airwaves from 1984-92 as Dr. Cliff Huxtable on NBC's "The Cosby Show," which also starred Phylicia Rashad. For this project, he is again partnering with producer Tom Werner.
Deadline reported that Cosby and Werner are interviewing writers for the project, though NBC hasn't committed to making a pilot.
The successful Cosby/Werner team had been considering such a project for some time.
"They would like to see a married couple that acts like they love each other, warts and all, children who respect the parenting, and the comedy of people who make mistakes. Warmth and forgiveness,"
Cosby told Yahoo TV in November. "So I hope to get that opportunity, and I will deliver the best of Cosby."
After "The Cosby Show" ended, Cosby starred in CBS's "Cosby" from 1996 to 2000. The Coz is currently touring with his first televised standup, or rather "sit-down," show in 30 years, Comedy Central's "Far From Finished."
Cosby isn't the first 80s television icon to return to television. Earlier this fall, "Family Ties" and "Spin City" star Michael J. Fox returned with a self-titled sitcom, though it has lagged in the ratings, and is at risk of cancellation.
