Eclipse, a black lab mix in Seattle, has learned to ride the bus to the dog park – all by herself.
The 2-year-old dog boards the bus alone, sits next to passengers, watches for her stop and then gets off,
KOMO-TV reported.
Local radio host Miles Montgomery of KISW-FM noticed Eclipse getting off the bus at the dog park recently and posted a picture of the bus-riding dog on Twitter.
“I just look out the window and I'm like, 'did that just happen?'" Montgomery said, according to KOMO-TV. "She was most concerned about seeing out the window, and I couldn't figure out what that was. It was really just about seeing where her stop was."
The dog’s owner, Jeff Young, told the station that her first solo run happened when he took too long to finish a cigarette. Now she regularly takes the trip alone, and he catches up with her at the dog park.
"All the bus drivers know her. She sits here just like a person does," commuter Tiona Rainwater told KOMO-TV. "She makes everybody happy. How could you not love this thing?"
Young and his girlfriend Lauren Campbell call Eclipse’s fans Ecliptomaniacs,
Today reported.
