Dorothea Hurley, the wife of Jon Bon Jovi, was treated at Beth Israel Medical Center on Saturday after she accidentally cut her palm while chopping vegetables in the kitchen of the couple's SoHo penthouse.

The New York Post said Bon Jovi's wife received stitches for the cut, which caused "heavy bleeding." She was then released from the hospital.

Bon Jovi himself reportedly made a "frantic" 911 call for assistance after his wife's accident.

The couple, who celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary on April 29, recently put the penthouse up for sale for $37.5 million.

Bon Jovi and Hurley bought the penthouse in 2007 for $24 million. They tried to unload it earlier for $42 million and then $39.9 million before taking it off the market in January, according to Curbed.com. It went back on the market this spring.

The penthouse has six bedrooms, multiple fireplaces, a media room, and a "very" nice rooftop deck. The website said the couple renovated the home before putting it up for sale.

The New Jersey natives and high school sweethearts married in 1989.
