"Boy Meets World" star Maitland Ward is raking in the cash thanks to her OnlyFans account.

The actress revealed to TMZ that she is pulling in "six figures a month from OnlyFans, and continuously." It is not just about the money, though. The platform also gives her a chance to "connect" with her fans.

"It has been absolutely amazing. I have amazing fans that have just shown up," Ward said. "It’s a time where we were alone and stressed and everything. That’s a time when you need to connect ..."

She added that OnlyFans allowed her to make "more money and feel more powerful than I ever have in my life."

Ward previously starred as Rachel McGuire in the sitcom "Boy Meets World" and Jessica Forrester on "The Bold and the Beautiful" before turning her attention to the adult film industry. Speaking with the New York Post, she said she plans to balance network TV with adult films.

"I want to slay both industries," Ward said. "I love and embrace both. Me being bold and free in my sexuality and so out there with it has really given me that power. When I was like this innocent flower, I was letting everyone else dictate what I should do or what I should be."

Although Maitland's career may have received a boost from OnlyFans, many other stars' careers are on the line. Recently it emerged that ITV was cracking down on its celebrities posting X-rated content on explicit subscription-based sites. The channel is blacklisting reality TV stars with OnlyFans accounts from appearing in their shows, sources recently revealed to the U.K.'s Daily Star.

Dozens of celebrities have turned to the social media platform in a bid to earn extra money amid the coronavirus pandemic, but there could be severe repercussions. It may even be considered a deal-breaker in terms of casting, the outlet reported.

"ITV are now against talent with pay-per-view fans sites such as OnlyFans when looking at stars being involved in new shows," a source said. "The decision isn't aligned to any one show in particular, but across the board. It's thought that such explicit work isn't compatible with their audience."

The TV insider added that it was not just ITV clamping down on stars with OnlyFans accounts.

"Channels in general are cracking down – it wouldn't be an exaggeration to say it can be a deal-breaker for some producers."

The rise in popularity of explicit subscription-based sites in recent months reflects a desperate struggle among many familiar faces trying to stay afloat as they face reduced incomes.

Recently, rising Australian tennis star Angelina Graovac joined OnlyFans to supplement her income. It is unclear how much the 19-year-old earns from her account, but any money will help fund her career, which brings in just $3,500 in total earnings.

Former Atomic Kitten singer Kerry Katona also launched her account after struggling to pay the bills, The Sun noted.
