Bristol Palin Offers Wendy Davis Tips on Being Good Mom (Video)

Bristol Palin, angered by Wendy Davis' biography tweaking that painted the Texas state senator as a teen mom success story, lashed out in a blog post that offered the gubernatorial candidate tips on how to be a good mom.

Davis, the 50-year-old Democrat who exploded onto the national scene in June after delivering a 13-hour filibuster against abortion restrictions, is under fire for allegedly altering details of her life story.

In the suspect biography, Davis reportedly passed herself off as someone who "pulled themselves up by the bootstraps" to transform from a 19-year-old divorced mother living in a trailer park to a Harvard Law grad and successful politician. However, an in-depth report last week in the Dallas Morning News revealed that Davis' story isn't exactly all true.

For example, she was 21 when she got divorced; not 19. She only lived in a mobile home for a few short months before moving into an apartment with her daughter. And, perhaps most importantly, her second husband footed the bill not only for her last two years at Texas Christian University, but also for her entire Harvard Law education. What's more, Davis reportedly left him after the final payment was sent in.

Palin, the 23-year-old daughter of the former governor of Alaska and 2008 Republican candidate for vice president Sarah Palin, penned a blog post last week slamming Davis for allegedly leaving her kids behind with her ex-husband after finishing law school.

"[Davis] found a man to marry her, pay her way through college, and then through Harvard Law School. The day after he paid the last bill, she left him. By the way, she left her kids too," Palin, who was a teen mother herself, wrote.

"Gosh, children are sooo inconvenient, huh? I’m glad my mother didn’t put motherhood on the shelf when she was elected to City Council, then became our mayor, then governor," she continued in the post that was directed to liberals. "I know you would rather think about Wendy Davis, so let’s get back to her. She’s more your type of woman. She left her kid, husband, made it into a false 'made-for-tv-movie-type tale' and then demanded that Texans have the right to kill babies. That's the woman you libs can really get behind!"

Davis acknowledged to the Dallas Morning News last week that timeline of her biography was slightly off.

"My language should be tighter," she said. "I’m learning about using broader, looser language. I need to be more focused on the detail."

Davis also appeared on Fusion TV Monday to address Palin's comments.

"With all due respect to Ms. Palin, of course, nothing that was said in that tweet is true," she told Fusion's Jorge Ramos. "I'm very proud of the mother I have been to my daughters. I have always been and will always be the most important female in their lives. They are the most important thing to me and I’m very proud I’ve been able to be a role model, a friend, a mother to these two beautiful girls I’ve raised."
