Brittney Griner and Glory Johnson, both players in the WNBA, were married in Phoenix on Friday, less than a month after the two were arrested in an alleged domestic violence incident.

Griner, who helped lead the Phoenix Mercury to the WNBA title last season, and Johnson, who plays for the Tulsa Shock, exchanged vows in front of 75 guests at the Pointe Hilton Tapatio Cliffs Resort, People magazine reported. Johnson wore a champagne dress she selected during an episode of the TLC reality show "Say Yes to the Dress: Atlanta," while Griner opted for a beige suit and Converse sneakers.

"I was nervous, but I knew at the end of the day we would have a dress," Griner said back in January, according to People. "It also let me know how real things are — when I saw Glory in her dress I just couldn't keep the tears back."

Both women, 24, were arrested at their Goodyear, Arizona, home April 22 after a fight, the Arizona Republic reported.

On April 28, Griner pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct in a deal that would see her enter a diversion program, attorney David Michael Cantor told USA Today.

Griner will reportedly attend 26 weeks of domestic violence counseling and, conditional on her attendance, the charges will then be dismissed. The WNBA is also conducting its own investigation into the matter, USA Today noted.

"It is never OK for an argument to turn physical," Griner said in a statement released through her attorney at the time. "This will never happen again, and I take my relationship and my responsibility as a role model seriously."

"I am committed to making positive changes and I plan to use what I have learned to set a good example and help make a difference in the world around me," she continued.
