"Cake Boss" star Buddy Valastro was arrested Thursday morning in Manhattan on a charge of driving impaired after police said they saw his 2014 Corvette swerving through traffic and when he got out of the car he was unsteady on his feet and had bloodshot eyes.

Valastro has been a fixture on TLC as the star of the reality series which follows his family's bake shop business in Hokoben, New Jersey, reported Us Weekly.

According to WNBC-TV, police stopped Valastro after seeing him weave through traffic while heading north between 20th and 32nd streets.

"The cops lit 'em up, pulled Buddy over and smelled a strong odor of alcohol," reported celebrity website TMZ. "We're told Buddy flunked multiple field sobriety tests. He was cuffed, taken to the cop shop and booked."

NJ Advance Media reported that Valastro had a blood alcohol level of .08 when he was stopped, according to the city's deputy commissioner's office.

Authorities took Valastro to Manhattan's central booking for arraignment and a spokesperson said he could face a judge late Thursday afternoon.

Valastro has numerous shops in New Jersey and a location he opened up in Las Vegas in April, noted NJ Advance Media.

"I feel like I'm known for the most over-the-top cakes around, and where is there more of an over-the-top clientele or place to do cakes like that than Las Vegas?" he told USA Today. "I mean, if it ain't Vegas, it ain't happening anywhere."

Valastro and his wife Lisa had their fourth child, a son named Carlo, in 2011 according to Us Weekly.
