Country music stars Carrie Underwood and Taylor Swift made featured and funny appearances on the animated "Family Guy" Sunday night.

As the guys — Peter, Joe, Cleveland, and Quagmire — talked about God, they stumbled across a headline in the newspaper that said, “Carrie Underwood Credits Her Success to Personal Relationship With God.”

Unlike most people who talk about “finding” God, the “Family Guy” crew wanted to actually find him, so they set off to track down Underwood and see if she knew his location.

They ended up at the Country Music Awards, chatting backstage with Underwood. Swift got only a brief mention, which came as they approached the awards show and Peter pointed out, “Hey, look, there’s Taylor Swift,” pointing at a slender blonde woman holding a guitar. Next to her was another blonde playing the guitar and singing a little out of tune. “And Taylor-not-so Swift,” Peter added.

Swift didn’t get much of their time, and they instead tracked down Underwood to ask her about her hit song, “Jesus Take the Wheel.”

Peter took the lead, asking the singer, “In that song ‘Jesus Take the Wheel,’ was that like the real Jesus or was it just some Mexican guy?”

Though animated Underwood set him straight quickly, that it was the “real” Jesus in the song, she couldn’t help the four track down God.

That Swift and Underwood got “the Family Guy treatment” amused some people online.
