Celebrities are responding to the latest school shooting, where 17 died and numerous others were injured at a high school in Parkland, Florida, passing along their condolences while some demanding action like gun reform, Entertainment Weekly noted.
The shooting deaths Wednesday sparked social media comments from Ellen DeGeneres, Mark Ruffalo, Reese Witherspoon, Kim Kardashian West, and author Stephen King, the magazine said.
Nikolas Cruz, 19, allegedly walked into Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School where authorities claimed he began his shooting rampage with an AR-15 rifle and wearing a gas mask, Fox News reported.
Cruz was taken into custody by police off campus grounds, according to Fox News.
President Donald Trump led the messages of condolences.
While passing along condolences, other celebrities called for Congress to get involved and legislation on gun reform.
