Charlie Sheen's "bar fight" – he slapped a cellphone from the hands of a woman trying to take a video of him – ended when a bouncer put the actor in a headlock and booted him from a California establishment. That's the TMZ version. There are two others.
Sheen was at Hennessey's Tavern in Dana Point on Saturday where he was drinking and posing for pictures with fans for about four hours, said
TMZ.
"He was friendly enough, taking pics with a bunch of adorning fans," said TMZ. "But then this woman tried to shoot video of him on her cellphone, which he slapped out of her hand, damaging it. The bouncer then did what bouncers do ... he put Charlie in an impressive WWE hold and removed him from the premises."
Paul Hennessey, owner of the Tavern, though, told a different story to
People magazine.
"Charlie Sheen came in with some friends after a day of fishing and was a perfect guest, taking pictures with everyone," said Hennessey. "But then later that night this other Charlie came in and that Charlie got into an argument with someone in the band."
Hennessey told People that the report about Sheen being put in a headlock was "exaggerated."
"(Sheen was) politely asked to leave," said Hennessey. "He was a perfect gentleman about it, and he shook the doorman's hand afterwards."
Radar Online added another twist to the story, saying it was a band member who tried to take the actor's picture when the former "Two and a Half Men" star confronted him and a fight broke out, leading to Sheen's ejection from the bar.
"Yeah he got kicked out because he tried to fight the bass player of the band (after) he tried to take a pic of him," Radar Online said a "friend" at the bar told them.
