Hillary Rodham Clinton may earn a new title before she decides to run for president in 2016 — "granny" —  as her daughter Chelsea Clinton and her husband Marc Mezvinsky have decided to try for a baby this year.

Chelsea Clinton, 33, told Glamour magazine for its November issue that she and Mezvinsky decided that 2014 will be their "Year of the Baby."

"And please, call my mother and tell her that," Chelsea Clinton said. "She asks us about it every single day."

Chelsea Clinton said that it was the death of her grandmother, Hillary Clinton's mother Dorothy Rodham, in November 2011 that made her start to think about what she wanted out of life.

"It was such a fundamentally unmooring event for me," Chelsea Clinton told Glamour. "I've never been so lost as I was when she passed. (Marc Mezvinsky and I) sat down and said, 'Here's what we want to do.' The first thing on the list was simple: We want, God willing, to start a family."

Former President Bill Clinton said last week during an interview that he believed his wife is ready to become a grandmother.

Charlie Rose of "CBS This Morning" on Sept. 24 whether the former secretary of state would pick being a grandmother over being president if given the choice.

"If you ask her, I think she'd say grandmother, but I have found it best not to discuss that issue," Clinton said. "My goal is to live to be a grandfather. The rest of it's out of my hands."

Chelsea Clinton was recently named vice chair of the newly named Bill, Hillary & Chelsea Clinton Foundation. The change from "William J. Clinton Foundation" reflects the role the former first daughter is taking in the family business.

Clinton has been earning her stripes on Wall Street, working at the Avenue Capital Group, but recently told the Washington Post that she is ready to move on.

"I loved the meritocracy of it and the camaraderie of the trading floor," Chelsea Clinton told the Post. "There was one metric for success: Did you make or lose money? I think we need to care about the metrics of success in life, and I'm a pretty competitive person. But whether I made the company $2 or $2 million just didn't matter to me. I didn't fundamentally care about making money."
