Chelsea Handler recreated Russian President Vladimir Putin's famous shirtless horserider photo in an Instagram photo posted Thursday night, but the photo sharing site took it down because she has boobs and Putin does not.

After censoring the photo, Instagram sent Handler a notification letting her know the topless photo had been removed because it violated the site's community guidelines, TMZ reported. That's when she rebelled.

"Taking this down is sexist. I have every right to show I have a better body than Putin," she captioned the picture, posting it for a second time. She also posted the violation notice she was sent.

If a man posts a photo of his nipples, it's ok, but not a woman? Are we in 1825?

Once again, Instagram removed the photo. Thus, she posted it thrice.

"If a man posts a photo of his nipples, it’s OK, but not a woman? Are we in 1825? If Instagram takes this down again, you’re saying Vladimir Putin Has more 1st amendment rights than me," she wrote, posting the picture once again.

Predictably, it was removed yet again.

That's when Handler decided Instagram wasn't for her.

"You can now find my dogs and my breasts on Twitter only where my followers have the right to choose what they say. Bye bye instablock," she wrote in a final Instagram post that included a picture of her dogs.

Handler then posted the Putin-inspired topless pic to her Twitter account, where such content is allowed.

According to The Washington Post, Handler is not the first celeb to have a topless photo removed from her account, and she's not even the first to stage a protest.

Singer Rihanna has had a topless magazine cover photo yanked, and a photo of Kendall Jenner’s sheer runway top has also been removed.

Scout Willis, Bruce Willis and Demi Moore’s daughter, even started an ongoing campaign to "Free the Nipple," which involved walking around topless in New York and tweeting photos of herself.

"Legal in NYC but not on @instagram," said one tweet.
