A deleted scene featuring Chewbacca in 2015's megahit "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" shows the Wookiee ripping off the arm of Unkar Plutt, which was likely not seen as kid-friendly by Disney.

The deleted clip popped up on YouTube recently, generating more than 2 million views before it was apparently taken down, said The Hollywood Reporter. Another version on YouTube has now garnered more than 113,000 views.

In the scene, Unkar, a computer-generated character played by Simon Pegg, threatens Rey, played by Daisy Ridley, in Maz Kanata's castle before Chewbacca shows up to defend her. Unkar loses his limb when he fails to back down from the hulking Wookiee, portrayed by actor Peter Mayhew.

"The gag (for those of you non-hardcore 'Star Wars' nerds) dates back to 1977's 'A New Hope,' when Han Solo tells C-3PO to always let a Wookiee win — at games and just life in general — because they are known to rip people's arms out of their sockets when they lose," wroter The Hollywood Reporter's Ryan Parker.

While the deleted scene did not make the movie's final cut, the clip may be from "The Force Awakens 3D Collector's Edition," according to CBS News.

The movie went on to become one of the biggest box office hits of all-time, grossing $2.06 billion worldwide at theaters.

Fans shared their feelings about the deleted scene on social media.
