Chipper Jones Joke on Alligators Chasing Immigrants Strikes Out

Retired Atlanta Braves star Chipper Jones found himself in hot water over the weekend after making a Twitter joke about using alligators to chase illegal immigrants away from the border.

Y'all think if they took all them gators they trap in Fla and La and put them in the Rio Grande, it wud stop the illegals from crossing? Jk

Offended Twitter users immediately launched a counterattack on Jones.

Jones apologized for his "attempt at humor" a day later.
