Clint Eastwood is splitting with his wife of 17 years, Dina Eastwood, who made the announcement on Thursday and said the two have been living separately for some time.
The 48-year-old former TV newscaster confirmed the split to Us Weekly, adding that the two remain close. A source told the gossip magazine the couple split back in June 2012.

"Clint fell out of love with Dina a long time ago," the insider said, noting that the separation was "amicable."
The Oscar-winning "Million Dollar Baby" director, 83, married Dina in 1996 and the two have one daughter together, 16-year-old Morgan. Eastwood has seven other children, though he has only been married once before, to Maggie Johnson for 31 years.
When contacted by US Weekly about the split, Eastwood's manager said, "I know nothing about that."
Dina Eastwood voluntarily entered an Arizona rehabilitation facility in April for treatment of depression and anxiety, TMZ.com reported, adding that the two had been having marital problems for awhile.
Dina Eastwood met Clint Eastwood in 1993 while interviewing him for her station, the Monterey-Salinas, Calif., NBC affiliate KSBW.
Morgan and Dina, along with Eastwood's daughter Francesca from his relationship with "Titanic" actress Frances Fisher, starred on the E! reality series "Mrs. Eastwood & Company." The show ran for one season in 2012 and documented their lives in Carmel-by-the-Sea, where Eastwood was mayor from 1986 to 1988.
